Grace Episcopal Church's Past Projects

Grace Episcopal Church has a long and proud history of providing outreach and support to our communities. We have included a partial list of our successful community programs.

Some of our most successful programs include:

  • "Cookies for the Homeless" - In 2011, our members encouraged their kids to hold bake sales in their neighborhoods selling home-made cookies. The proceeds from this cookie sale were used to support homeless shelters and soup kitchens all across Galesburg.
  • Backpacks for schoolchildren in Galesburg - This project from the fall and winter of 2013-2014 helped children get the basic necessities for success in school.
  • We baked cookies to hand out to the Knox College Fellowship of Christian Athletes during their finals in the spring of 2014.
  • We contribute regularly to the FISH Pantry of the Congregational Church.
